The Financial Planning Association of Kansas State University is hosting Financial Planning Day on Friday, May 1, at the K-State Student Union. Financial planning experts will be on hand from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. to provide free, no-strings-attached financial advice and answer questions. Students, faculty, staff, and community members all are invited.
The Trust Company is proud to have four professionals on our team who have earned certification from the prestigious CFP Board, a non-profit organization that fosters professional standards in personal financial planning through education, examination, experience, ethics and other requirements. All four—Lucy Williams, CFP®; Doug Wiley, CFP®; Katie Seay, CFP® and Eli Sallman, CFP®—will be at the event to share their expertise. Stop by with your financial questions, or just to say “hello!”
Financial Planning Day is a national effort to reach underserved audiences with pro bono financial advice and is the brainchild of the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, the Financial Planning Association, the Foundation for Financial Planning, and the U.S. Conference of Mayors. On April 21, the Mayor of Manhattan read a proclamation announcing May 1 as Financial Planning Day.
