Executive Vice President and Trust Officer
Chuck joined The Trust Company in 1999 after beginning his career as a Bank Trust Officer and Manager in 1977. He specializes in estate planning, portfolio management and personal trust administration.
Chuck earned his bachelor’s degree in political science and pre-law from Kansas State University, and his juris doctor from Washburn School of Law. He is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor, as well as a member of the Riley County and Kansas Bar Associations.
Chuck’s personal philosophy calls for providing prompt service to clients, and listening thoroughly to what they have to say.
“I like that we provide service and value. We have nothing to sell, no products. We just help people one-on-one, and together we figure out the best course to take.”
Chuck is a graduate of the Flint Hills Regional Leadership Program and Leadership Manhattan. He has served on the board of Riley County United Way, the board of Boys and Girls Club of Manhattan, and the board for Homecare and Hospice Foundation. He’s also a member of Manhattan Rotary Club.
A native of Kinsley, Kan., Chuck likes to golf, walk, read and play tennis. His wife, Kathy, is a retired teacher, and they have two grown children, Tiffany and Zach.
He is a stockholder of The Trust Company.
