Vice President & Trust Officer - Director of Financial Planning
Katie Seay (pronounced “See”) joined The Trust Company in 2012 as Director of Financial Planning and has earned the additional title of Vice President & Trust Officer.
In her college days as a University of Georgia Bulldog, she “stumbled upon” the financial planning profession while searching for a career that would allow her to help people in some way.
Now she is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Certified Trust and Financial Advisor, Certified Retirement Counselor®, and a member of The Trust Company’s Investment Management Committee—working with clients to create individualized financial strategies that will help them achieve financial success.
“I help clients make sense of their financial life. We don’t want people to have regrets. Together we make a plan, and help them achieve their goals. It’s very satisfying.”
Katie keeps busy as a board member of Manhattan Konza Rotary Club, Homecare and Hospice and the Manhattan Advisory Council for Housing and Credit Counseling, Inc. She is a 2015 graduate of Leadership Manhattan and a member of the Financial Planning Association.
Her husband is a financial expert, too—but on the academic side, as a faculty member in the personal financial planning program at Kansas State University. So…it’s a good bet their family checkbook stays balanced. They also recently co-authored a chapter on Medicaid in the second edition of the CFP Board’s Financial Planning Competency Handbook.
Katie and Martin are the proud parents of two adorable little boys who keep them on their toes.
Katie is a stockholder of The Trust Company.
