A Personal Financial Planning (PFP) course during the summer after Mackenzie’s sophomore year at K-State turned out to be a serendipitous encounter with her future career. In fact, she loved it so much that she decided to pursue her master’s degree while focusing her days on client service at The Trust Company.
“Striving to make clients feel heard and understood is something I am passionate about. My goal is to take care of clients like I would my own family.”
The first of her family to graduate with a bachelor’s degree, Mackenzie earned her B.S. in Family Studies and Human Services in 2013, and followed up with her Master of Science in Personal Financial Planning in May 2020. Her professional experience includes overseeing hundreds of residential units as a property manager and handling many diverse aspects of operations in the Academic Success Center of the Kansas State University Department of Engineering. Mackenzie plans to sit for the CFP® exam in the fall of 2020.
Mackenzie and her husband, Eric, a territory manager for a precision agriculture equipment company, both hail from western Kansas. At home in Manhattan, they enjoy staying active and healthy together.
