A behind-the-scenes person on Anne Lewis-Smith’s team, Tammy relishes the role of providing support for front-line staff who work directly with clients.
“Trust work is very personal and we have a lot of responsibility to our clients. My job is to make everything run as smoothly as possible for them.”
Tammy joined the Manhattan office of The Trust Company in 1999 after earning her degree in economics from Kansas State University and serving 11 years as trust operations supervisor for a financial institution. She provides support to the administrative teams by ensuring the accuracy of transactions in client accounts, reconciliations and tax-reporting obligations. She completed the Advanced Trust School of the Schools of Banking.
Formerly active in Riley County 4-H and Extension, the Riley County school system, and as a church youth group leader, Tammy now enjoys spending more time with her husband, Don; their grown kids: Kyle and his wife, who are both local optometrists, and Erin, who is a speech-language pathologist; and especially their grandson, Austin.
She is a stockholder of The Trust Company.
